With 200 lawyers distributed across five business centers in California, the Allen Matkins law firm depends on inter-office client teams and specialized data from various offices to serve its clients. To overcome slow network speeds, Allen Matkins deployed Riverbed Steelhead appliances to all its offices.
Immediately afterward, the company saw dramatic increases in application performance and document download speeds. Litigation case files, which took more than 22 minutes to download, now took 2.5 minutes. Edits followed by a transfer across the network took about eight seconds. And using Steelhead appliances to consolidate their IT infrastructure, all practices could access client data stored at the corporate data center quickly.
