Riverbed to Showcase WDS Solutions at Storage Networking World

Riverbed Customer to Provide Compelling Case for Data Center Consolidation with WDS

SAN FRANCISCO – April 2, 2008 – Riverbed Technology (Nasdaq: RVBD), the technology and market leader in wide-area data services (WDS), today announced that it will be participating in Computerworld Storage Networking World, taking place April 7 - 10, 2008 at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. Storage Networking World is the world's largest and foremost storage networking event where IT management and professionals learn, network, and maximize their company's storage capabilities. At the Riverbed® booth (#1202), the company will demo its award-winning WDS solutions.

Only Riverbed offers a complete WDS solution that accelerates applications and data for remote offices, data centers, and mobile workers across wide area networks (WANs), accelerating access to applications and data up to 100 times faster. The speed delivered by Riverbed WDS solutions allows organizations to be more nimble, flexible and competitive by enabling IT consolidation without sacrificing user performance, allowing higher productivity for remote offices, eliminating end user frustration caused by slow applications, dramatically shortening backup and replication times, reducing traffic on WANs, and even enabling mobile workers to be significantly more productive.

To provide a real-world example for attendees, Riverbed customer Adam Rasner of Rayonier, Inc., will present "SAN Replication and Wide Area Data Services: The One-Two Punch for Consolidating Your Data Center", in which he will explain how WDS technology has enabled Rayonier's existing bandwidth usage per day to plunge between 75 to 90 percent, providing a virtual bandwidth increase of 13 - 16X. Rasner's presentation will also provide details on how WDS technology plus SAN technology allows Rayonier to take advantage of de-duplication techniques and to speed data replication and back-up. In addition, Joshua Tseng, director of technical marketing at Riverbed, will present "Recent Advances in WAN Acceleration Technologies."
