With Riverbed, the Society keeps network costs low, allowing the organization to deliver more services to people in need.
The Canadian Cancer Society’s Ontario Division operates a distributed network across 40 offices throughout the Ontario province. In addition to using old, non-enterprise class equipment, the organization performed data backups over its network, an extremely slow process that put information at risk and offered no redundancy.
To accelerate data backups without upgrading its network infrastructure, the Society chose WAN optimization technology from Riverbed. Because Riverbed solutions offer a simple, plug-and-play implementation process, non-technical employees were able to easily install the technology at remote offices without IT assistance.
