Summary

Installing Riverbed Steelhead appliances allowed BAM Civiel's data traffic to take place as if the company's employees, spread out across the globe, were working on local servers. The data chiefly consists of email messages with Word and Excel attachments and AutoCAD drawings that can easily reach hundreds of megabytes. With Steelhead, these files are now transferred in minutes, or even seconds, across the network.

By supporting BAM’s strategy of centralization, Steelhead was able to improve management and security capabilities, as well as overall network usability, which allows BAM to remain competitive.
