Summary

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) provides clearing, settlement, and information services for equities, corporate and municipal bonds, mortgage-backed securities, and other investments.

As a large international corporation, DTCC operates multiple data centers and a network that spans the globe. Due to unreliable IT infrastructure in some parts of the world, DTCC employees experienced widely different performance depending on their office location.

To reduce latency and provide a LAN-like experience to all of its employees, DTCC selected technology from Riverbed. With low-maintenance, turn-key solutions from Riverbed, including Cascade, DTCC was able to gain visibility into its network dataflow and improve performance without the need to commit additional IT resources to ongoing management.
