NEWS: Beginning June 13^th, 2011, candidates will be able to manage their certification history, issue their own certificates and download the certification logos directly from the Riverbed Certification Portal. For additional information, please refer to the “First Time login Process for Riverbed Candidates” document.

NEWS: On April 28th, 2011, Riverbed refreshes the WAN Optimization RCSA –W and RCSP-W exams and launches two new certification exams, the RCSA-V and RCSP-V focusing on Riverbed visibility solutions.

NEWS: Beginning April 28th, 2011, Riverbed will deliver all certification exams in two languages: English and Japanese.

NEWS: Beginning April 1st, 2011, Riverbed will issue only soft copies (PDF) of the completion on certification exams. This is intended to expedite the certificate delivery process, as well introducing the ‘certificate validation code’ that will allow candidates, customers and partners to confirm the authenticity of the certificate.

NEWS: Riverbed introduces an exam grace period to the certification exams. All certifications have now a six month grace period beyond the two years certification expiration date. During the grace period, the certification status becomes ‘Pending/Suspended’ and will become ‘Inactive’ after the six month grace period.

NEWS: Beginning March 12^th, 2011 the retake policy on Riverbed passed exams has changed from two years to one year. Per example, if you passed the RCSP-W – 199-01 exam on March 12^th, 2011 you can retake the same exam number starting March 13^th, 2012.

Riverbed Certified Solutions Associate – WAN Optimization (RCSA-W)

The RCSA-W certificate is granted to individuals that demonstrate knowledge and experience in the theory, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the RiOS® product suite. It has been established to provide a means of recognizing pre-sales engineers.

While there are no set requirements prior to taking the exam, candidates that have taken the Riverbed Steelhead® Appliance Deployment & Management (SADM) and the Steelhead Mobile Installation & Configuration (SMC) training classes, and have had at least three months of hands-on experience with Riverbed products, have a significantly higher chance of receiving the accreditation. Riverbed Certified Solutions Professional – WAN Optimization (RCSP-W)

The RCSP-W certificate is granted to individuals that demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in the theory, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Riverbed RiOS product suite. It has been established to provide a means of recognizing post-sale professional services and/or support focused individuals.

While there are no set requirements prior to taking the exam, many candidates that have passed the RCSA-W exam have typically taken the Riverbed training classes and have also had at least six months of hands-on experience with Riverbed products. Riverbed Certified Solutions Associate – Visibility (RCSA-V)

The RCSA-V certificate is granted to individuals who can demonstrate knowledge in the theory and configuration of Riverbed Cascade® solutions. Conduct DEMO and POC on a given network. It has been established to provide a means of recognizing pre-sales engineers.

While there are no set requirements prior to taking the exam, candidates that have taken the Riverbed Cascade® Configuration and Operations training class, and have had at least three months of hands-on experience with Riverbed Cascade products, have a significantly higher chance of receiving the accreditation. Riverbed Certified Solutions Professional – Visibility (RCSP-V)

The RCSP-V certificate is granted to individuals who can demonstrate strong knowledge in the theory, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of the Riverbed Cascade® product solutions on a complex network environment. It has been established to provide a means of recognizing post-sale professional services and/or support focused individuals.

While there are no set requirements prior to taking the exam, many candidates that have passed the RCSA-V exam have typically taken the Riverbed training classes and have also had at least six months of hands-on experience with Riverbed products. Taking the Exams

To obtain the RCSA and RCSP certifications in Visibility or WAN Optimization tracks, you are required to pass a computerized exam available at any Pearson VUE testing center worldwide. To register for any Riverbed certification exam, please visit http://www.pearsonvue.com/riverbed.
