As you may be aware, Infineta Systems has fallen on unfortunate times. It ceased operations, a liquidator was appointed, and its products will no longer be manufactured, sold or distributed. This has obviously caused a lot of disruption for all involved. Riverbed purchased some of Infineta's assets from the liquidator, including its intellectual property, but will not be able to sell or support Infineta products.

What happened to Infineta?
Infineta went into liquidation and ceased operating as an on-going business. Riverbed submitted an offer to purchase certain Infineta assets, including its intellectual property and the offer was accepted.
Did Riverbed acquire Infineta?
No, we did not acquire the company. However, Riverbed did acquire some of Infineta's assets, including its intellectual property (including source code and domain names).
Will Riverbed sell or support Infineta products?
Riverbed only acquired some of the assets of Infineta and therefore will not be able to support or sell Infineta products. However, we can assist customers with selecting alternative technologies from our product family. Infineta products are no longer for sale by any entity.
If a customer purchased Infineta products or services prior to its liquidation, can they return them to Riverbed for a refund?
Riverbed is not able to accept returns of Infineta products or services. Riverbed can help Infineta customers that would like to choose an alternative WAN optimization solution.
