Riverbed's WDS Solutions Receive Statement of Accreditation to Operate on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet
San Francisco, CA — October 31, 2006 — Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: RVBD) announced today that the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps have issued Statement of Accreditation decisions for Riverbed’s Steelhead® wide-area data services (WDS) appliances to operate on the unclassified Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). According to the statements issued by the Commander, Naval Network Warfare Command and Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Command, Control, Communications and Computers, the WAN Accelerator project was created to improve performance in data transfer governed under NMCI.

As part of the Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems, the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) provides secure, seamless, and global end-to-end connectivity to Department of Navy personnel at more than 300 bases in the continental United States, Hawaii and Japan.
