The Riverbed Technology Alliance (RTA) is a select group of technology companies that have partnered with Riverbed to jointly develop, market, and deliver solutions to enterprise customers. By solving complex application, network, and storage challenges, the RTA delivers powerful customer solutions that drive revenue and value to both its partner members and Riverbed.

  • Membership Levels

    Companies can join the Riverbed Technology Alliance at one of three membership levels. After a membership level is defined, the RTA partner must meet the requirements for the technical designation they are pursuing.

    • RTA Member — Can validate their products with Riverbed and engage in limited marketing and sales activities.
    • Elite RTA Partner — Engage in a relationship with Riverbed to do extensive solution testing and identify product synergies. Commitment for specific sales engagement and marketing is defined, and a go-to-market plan is developed.
    • Global RTA Partner — Enter into a strategic relationship with Riverbed that has long-term product and revenue goals. Global partners must undertake extensive solutions testing and development, and commit global resources. Partners must be invited to participate in the alliance at this level.

    Technical Designations

    RTA partners work with Riverbed to develop joint solutions that address specific customer needs. RTA partner products are tested to measure performance, interoperability, and integration with Riverbed products.

    There are four technical designations possible:

    • Cloud Ready for Cloud Steelhead — Validates interoperability between the RTA partner product and Riverbed's Cloud Steelhead product
    • Cloud Ready for Whitewater — Validates interoperability between the RTA partner product and Riverbed's Whitewater product
    • RSP Ready — Validates that the partner package runs on the Riverbed Services Platform (RSP)
    • Riverbed Tested — Validates interoperability between the RTA partner product and a Riverbed product, outside the RSP
