Consulting Services Offerings

Riverbed Professional Services (RPS) offers a variety of services that can be customized to your deployment and network maintenance needs. These services move your projects forward faster and more effectively than if you try to get there alone.

  • Riverbed Steelhead Healthcheck Service: We recommend the Healthcheck service to identify the cause of network problems by performing a diagnostic review and then making recommendations based on your particular WDS deployment.
  • Riverbed Steelhead Jumpstart Service: The Jumpstart service provides planning, deployment, configuration, testing, and operational knowledge transfer services that will enhance your adoption and utilization of the Riverbed Steelhead solution. Additionally, the Jumpstart Service has add-on services such as a CMC Configuration Service, Interceptor Configuration Service, Steelhead Mobile Jumpstart, WCCP/PBR Configuration Service, and an Application Tuning Service.
  • NetFlow Implementation Service: The NetFlow Implementation service picks up where the Jumpstart service left off—with your Steelhead appliance installed and optimization service setup complete, to get your NetFlow enabled Steelhead appliances ready for NetFlow data collection.
  • Riverbed Steelhead WDS Assessment & Design Service: The WDS Assessment & Design service provides a review of your current environment and helps you design a custom WAN Optimization solution architecture.
  • CMC Reporting Service: Either weekly, monthly, or quarterly, RPS can provide Steelhead performance reporting, diagnostics, and recommendations electronically (via email) to customers with CMCs deployed.
  • SQL Analysis Service: The SQL Analysis service provides an analysis of your SQL application to define opportunities for optimization across the WAN.
  • Steelhead Onsite Resident: The Onsite Resident service provides a full-time Riverbed onsite consultant for design, deployment, configuration, and ongoing management in either 6-month or 12-month increments.
  • Technical Account Manager (TAM): The TAM gives you a single point of contact for coordinating the deployment, support, and operations of your WDS solution. TAMs provide strategic recommendations and continual project management in addition to technical expertise.

Custom Consulting Solutions

The Steelhead appliance has a flexible, software-blade architecture, which allows our engineering group to deliver new technologies for accelerating additional protocols as they become available. If you have a proprietary protocol, or would like a blade for a protocol that we otherwise do not support, our Professional Services team can engineer it for you. A variety of engagements are available, and we will work closely with you to assess your requirements and determine the scope and time of a custom solution.
