Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, HNTB is an architecture and engineering consulting firm that designes bridges, roadways, airports and professional sports stadiums around the world. With 3,800 employees located in 80 offices across 31 states, HNTB is one of the country’s largest full service architecture firms.

Given the complexity of their work, HNTB employees often need to collaborate closely on design projects. Due to network constraints, staff would have to copy project files to their desktops, a practice that led to errors and version control problems.
