Summary
When Le Cog Sportif's remote office in Paris grew from six to 28 users, designers called IT daily complaining about poor application performance and long download times. IT had no additional budget for bandwidth or infrastructure, but needed to guarantee reliable performance of applications. For this, they turned to Riverbed and installed Steelhead® appliances across their offices.
Le Coq Sportif deployed six Steelhead appliances in France, Spain, Italy and Taiwan. Within two weeks of deployment data transfers sped up by 30 times. File transfer times decreased from hours to minutes. And with a centralized IT infrastructure at their corporate data center, remote sites could access critical data and documentation with ease.
With Riverbed, Le Coq Sportif eliminated the need to maintain expensive IT infrastructure at all their branch offices. Not only did Riverbed Steelhead appliances enable Le Coq Sportif to improve overall performance, the company also achieved significant bandwidth savings through centralization.
