Summary
This leading think tank, which specializes in strengthening transatlantic cooperation and convening, has remote offices around the world, each with its own back-office hardware and solutions. The systems were antiquated, with three servers split between eight offices. They needed a centralized model, but bandwidth was a problem with cable modems in some remote offices.
Enter Riverbed, which was able to reduce traffic by 88-90 percent. Riverbed also allowed them to centralize key applications and services such as SharePoint, grants management, and CRM. Now the think tank operates as a single global team using the same set of tools.
