Riverbed helped human rights agency IJM improve network throughput without increasing costs.
Rouse International deployed Riverbed Steelhead applications to reduce bandwidth by 78 percent and save more than $300,000 a year.
Rouse was experiencing poor application performance across the WAN. Time recording and billing for fee earners, trademark database and its Intranet were at the heart of the problem, and all applications centralized in the UK were affected. The cost of upgrading its Internet-based inter-office VPNs to managed P2P MPLS circuits was simply not viable.
To solve this problem Rouse deployed 13 Riverbed Steelhead appliances at 12 of its offices, with IT administration located at its London headquarters using the Riverbed Central Management Console (CMC). As a result, Rouse has increased network capacity by almost a factor of five. It also reduced file transfer times from minutes to seconds, and achieved the speed of application performance required to facilitate its business-critical processes.
