Summary

Traffic Planning and Design (TPD) is a 90-member consulting engineering firm that depends on fast file speeds and team collaboration to exceed customer expectations. As TPD grew, so did the size of its files. As a result, it needed a system that could scale with growth.

Since deploying Riverbed Steelhead appliances, TPD reduced bandwidth utilization by 85 percent, saving a CAD user one hour every day from accelerated CAD file access. That translates into gaining 15 working hours per day, an annual savings of $78,000 per year. With Steelhead appliances, workloads were distributed between offices, and teams collaborated during time crunches, enabling employees to perform faster than ever.
