Steelhead® Mobile client software 3.0 introduces enhancements that allow organizations to provide their mobile workers with better access and performance no matter where they are. The integration between Steelhead appliance and the Riverbed Optimization System (RiOS™) offers faster application performance and better support for mobile workers. With new protocol optimizations, an expanded platform, operating system support, and client developments that improve both branch office and mobile worker performance, Steelhead Mobile 3.0 overcomes the challenges that plague mobile workers.
Steelhead Mobile from Riverbed® Technology:
Accelerates web applications up to 20-60 times
Steelhead Mobile is built with the same RiOS software that powers the Steelhead appliance and provides the same optimizations and benefits that dramatically improve performance and minimizes bandwidth utilization. This consistency allows organizations to implement a single solution for branch office and mobile workers for web applications that rely on HTTP and HTTPS. Steelhead Mobile reduces delays by using URL learning, page parsing, embedded object pre-fetching, and metadata acceleration modes. Business-critical applications (such as SharePoint, intranet portals, and web-based document management systems) and web-enabled ERP and CRM applications (such as SAP NetWeaver, JD Edwards, and Siebel) all are accelerated up to 60 times faster.
