5 Statistics to See How Your Office 365 User Experience Compares to Everyone Else’s
I’m one of those people who always like to take the quizzes in the back of the magazine, or more recently on BuzzFeed. You know, the ones that say “Let’s See How Your Pet Owner Habits Compare To Everyone Else’s” or “How Does Your Movie Knowledge Compare Against Everybody Else?” So when I saw the results from a recent survey on Office 365, I thought you might like to see how your Office 365 user experience compares to everyone else’s.
Check out the five questions and statistics below to see how your experiences compare. They are based on an Office 365 survey by Wakefield Research in March 2019 of 300 global IT professionals who have responsibility for Microsoft Office 365 in the following countries: U.S., Germany, and Australia.
Q1: Are you more or less productive after migrating to Office 365?
A1: 69% of companies say that they are more productive after shifting to Office 365. In the U.S., that number is even higher at 75%.
Q2: Why did you make the move?
A2: Top response was for ease of administration (54%), followed closely by better performance/availability (52%), better support (51%), and to reduce/reassign staff (50%).
Q3: Who typically reports issues with Office 365 first?
A3: 62% of issues are first reported by end users vs 18% by IT. It’s even higher in Australia where respondents said that 66% of issues were first reported by end users.
Q4: How many hours do you spend/week on Microsoft Office 365 issues?
A4: On average, companies spend 7 hours each week or 1 hour each day. In Australia, they report spending less time each week on average with 33% spending less than 5 hours per week.
Q5: Which capabilities would help you better manage the Office 365 user experience?
A5: Topping IT’s wish list:
- Self-service remediation 61%
- App performance from end user perspective 59%.
- Device health 57%
- Visibility into network delay 56%
- User behavior/trends 43%
