Mobile World Congress 2017 Key Take-Aways
Last week was an exciting time for Riverbed as we were at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) together with over 100,000 other members of the service provider ecosystem unveiling the Riverbed Service Delivery Platform, our latest carrier-grade offering. Riverbed Service Delivery Platform helps develop, deploy and deliver a wide variety of services from VNFs to business applications. The platform enables just in time provisioning of services and ensures they are delivered as intended.
During the four days of the MWC we met over 30 service providers and industry analysts. We talked about the evolution of the service provider business model and the need for service-centric approach to service creation as opposed to traditional, infrastructure-centric approach. The feedback we received on our Service Delivery Platform was overwhelmingly positive. For example, Rohit Mehra and Rajesh Ghai of IDC said: ‘We see Riverbed’s vision for SDP addressing this growing problem for service providers as they begin their journey of network transformation to cloud-like architectures. (…) We do see service providers expressing interest in the solution.‘ in their write-up Riverbed Unveils Bold Network-as-a-Service Vision for the Service Provider Market.
MWC is the largest and the most important event in the service provider ecosystem. It re-confirms the priorities for the industry and offers unique insights into the ever expanding mobile ecosystem. 2017 was not different. Take a look at the video below to learn what the key take-aways from MWC 2017 were for the Riverbed team.
We look forward to sharing more about our Service Delivery Platform soon!
