Cure the Holiday Shopping Hangover—Join Riverbed @ NRF 2019
Well the holiday season has finally come to a close. Lots of work goes into making the holidays enjoyable, and shopping for gifts can be one of the most daunting tasks. Whether it’s the retail crowds, figuring out what to get, or wondering if your online order will arrive in time for the big day, it can be quite stressful. Luckily this year I was able to get my shopping done early instead of the usual last-minute scramble. I did however get caught up in the post-Christmas rush to returns items in the store and at the shippers. It’s great to spend quality time with family and friends, but it’s also a huge relief to put it behind me. I almost feel like I need a vacation just to recover!
As I visited some of the online and brick and mortar retailers this year, I was impressed by the experience improvements that are being made across the retail industry. Things such as:
- Self-checkout from mobile (and coming soon cashier-less checkout)
- Knowledgeable sales associates with tablet for instant access to inventory and product info
- Accurate package tracking data
All of these made shopping an easier and less stressful experience. It was also exciting to know that here at Riverbed we’ve been helping our customers in the retail industry deliver these types of experiences to their customers as well.
As a consumer, it’s obvious to me that customer experience plays a key role in a retailer’s success. Riverbed recognizing this fact, has invested in solutions to help retailer’s transform customer experience in the digital era to stay competitive and deliver the best shopping experiences.
