SAN FRANCISCO—May 21, 2013— Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the application performance company, announced today that MJ Shutte, vice president of inside and commercial sales, Riverbed Americas, has been recognized by the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP) as a Top 25 Most Influential Inside Sales Professional for the fourth consecutive year. She was also named one of the Bay Area's Most Influential Women in Business by the San Francisco Business Times. Shutte's accomplishment was announced in April at AA-ISP's awards banquet at the annual Leadership Summit 2013 in Chicago, IL and she will be honored by the San Francisco Business Times on Thursday, June 6, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

The AA-ISP Top 25 Most Influential Inside Sales Professional awards has honored Shutte's knowledge and expertise at Riverbed for the past four years. She has played an essential role in building out the global inside sales team by developing innovative sales strategies, as well as providing support to the field sales team to empower channel growth. These sales teams led by Shutte now have extended responsibilities that include enabling and selling with thousands of channel partners, driving Riverbed into a global billion dollar revenue company.
Each year, the AA-ISP recognizes the Top 25 Most Influential Inside Sales Professionals at its annual Leadership Summit, who have been instrumental in advancing and changing and the inside sales market and have influenced others through thought leadership, training and best practices.
Additionally, the San Francisco Business Times Bay Area's Most Influential Women has recognized Shutte's key role in the professional growth of Riverbed employees as a mentor in the Advanced Leadership Teams Project, an executive-led leadership mentor program. Shutte also volunteers her time at leading regional charities, including the San Francisco Food Bank and the Battered Women's Shelter in Burlingame.
