Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the IT performance company, today announced that Carolyn Crandall, vice president of worldwide marketing, has been recognized by UBM Channel's CRN Magazine as one of the Women of the Channel in 2012. Honorees in CRN's 2012 Women of the Channel list have made a name for themselves as influential leaders within their own company and the IT channel as a whole.
SAN FRANCISCO—August 21, 2012— This is Crandall's fourth year in a row receiving the Women of the Channel recognition by CRN Magazine. Crandall is a technology industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience developing high-performance channels and go-to-market strategies. At Riverbed®, Crandall leads the worldwide marketing organization and is responsible for setting the vision for how the company goes to market-from branding and awareness to demand creation. She also drives the strategies for how the channel and alliance partner communities integrate into the Riverbed marketing mix. In the last year, Crandall helped grow market share for Riverbed with programs that motivate partners to offer the full breadth of the Riverbed portfolio.
"Now in its ninth annual publication, CRN's 2012 'Women of the Channel' list honors female executives based on their accomplishments over the past year, and their dedication to driving the overall success of the IT Channel," said Kelley Damore, vice president, editorial director at UBM Channel. "This designation is especially important because it recognizes successful and influential women in the IT channel, which has long been considered a male-centric industry. I take great pride in honoring and congratulating these women for their contributions to the industry and their respective organizations."
"Recognition by CRN Magazine as one of the top Women of the Channel is a distinct honor that validates our go-to-market approach and celebrates our accomplishments," said Crandall. "Our vision of delivering performance for the globally connected enterprise has not changed, but now we have a more comprehensive approach with the new Riverbed performance platform. Additionally, recent investments in the expansion of our portfolio, the new partner program, and channel enablement tools all equip Riverbed partners to have strategic discussions with companies on the performance trends that continue to challenge enterprises, as well as the innovative ways to solve them. Our focus for the next twelve months is to continue to build on our mutual success with partners through the continued investment in the core pillars of our partner program: capacity planning, competency building, field engagement, demand creation, and profitability programs."
More than 19,000 organizations worldwide depend on Riverbed to understand, optimize and consolidate their IT infrastructure through solutions that overcome performance issues caused by distance, distributed computing, and ever increasing amounts of data. As IT organizations embark on strategic initiatives to virtualize, consolidate and migrate workloads into cloud environments, users are moved farther from their data. Slow applications, slow file transfers and inefficient websites can negatively impact the performance and success of these initiatives. Riverbed transforms IT performance by providing solutions spanning WAN optimization, edge virtual server infrastructure (edge-VSI), application-aware network performance management, application delivery controllers, web content optimization (WCO), and cloud data protection for backup and disaster recovery. By providing the broadest portfolio of performance solutions that deliver anywhere, any-application optimization, Riverbed enables organizations to increase productivity and efficiency, while enhancing business resilience and controlling costs.
The Power 100 Women of the Channel is listed on CRN.com. The overall Women of the Channel list appeared in the July 2012 issue of CRN Magazine.
