San Francisco—March 08, 2013— Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the application performance company, announced today that Randy Schirman, senior vice president of Worldwide Channel Sales, has been named one of UBM Tech Channel's CRN 2013 Channel Chiefs. This list of the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel recognizes those executives directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organization, while evangelizing and defending the importance of the channel throughout the entire IT Industry.
As a three-time Channel Chief, Schirman is being recognized for leading the worldwide channel sales strategy at Riverbed and driving continued channel growth year over year. To open up new business opportunities for partners, Schirman helped introduce new training and specialization focus areas across the full suite of Riverbed performance solutions as well as enhanced profitability and lead generation programs, resulting in increased partner revenue. During 2012, 2500 partner representatives were trained online and more than 4000 customers and partners received education on the company's full suite of performance solutions through the global Riverbed Performance Summit roadshow.
