SAN FRANCISCO—March 25, 2014— Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the leader in application performance infrastructure, announced today that Chairman and CEO Jerry M. Kennelly has been awarded Glassdoor's Highest Rated CEO recognition for 2014. Glassdoor, a jobs and career community, released its annual report highlighting the 50 Highest Rated CEOs according to employees. More than half a million company reviews submitted to Glassdoor during past 12 months were taken into consideration when determining the list. Kennelly was ranked #14 overall and #7 among technology CEOs, and received a 93 percent approval rating, based on the anonymous and voluntary reviews Riverbed® employees shared on Glassdoor throughout the past year.

In employee reviews, Kennelly was recognized for creating a great culture, inspiring employees, his vision/direction for Riverbed's future, friendly demeanor and openness. About Glassdoor Highest Rated CEOs
This year Glassdoor introduced Highest Rated CEOs in the United States for large (1,000 or more employees) and SMB employers (less than 1,000 employees) along with the Highest Rated CEOs in the United Kingdom. Large US employers had to receive at least 100 CEO approval ratings and SMB US employers had to receive at least 20 approval ratings between February 1, 2013 and January 31, 2014.
CEO approval ratings are gathered through Glassdoor's online company review survey, which seeks to gain employee sentiment about the work environment and culture of their current or recent employer. Employees are asked to rate a number of factors related to the job and company including how satisfied they are with the job and company along with key workplace facets like compensation and benefits as well as work-life balance.
