SAN FRANCISCO—May 03, 2012— Organizations worldwide are using Riverbed's broad suite of performance solutions to improve productivity and efficiency, enhance business resilience and control costs. The suite of solutions span wide area network (WAN) optimization, edge virtual server infrastructure (edge-VSI), application-aware network performance management (NPM), application delivery, web content optimization (WCO), and cloud data protection for backup and disaster recovery. To share their real-world experiences using Riverbed performance solutions, customers John Iraci, vice president of enterprise infrastructure at DJO Global and Mitchel Weinberger, IT manager at GeoEngineers will present at the Riverbed booth during exhibiting hours. Mr. Iraci will also present on the successes and challenges of running a global consolidation project during the IT Leadership Summit (formerly called CIO Bootcamp).
Additionally, Riverbed will be participating in two panels during the conference. Chief Scientist Mark Day will participate in a panel discussion focused on deployment options for WAN optimization and application delivery controllers (ADC). Senior Product Marketing Manager Joe Ghory will participate in a discussion on performance challenges with SaaS and how to overcome these obstacles.

What: M&A - Successes and Challenges of Running a Global Consolidation Project at DJO Global

DJO Global, a global provider of medical device solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management, was acquired by a leading private equity firm and merged with a therapeutics company, doubling its size from $500 million to $1 billion in revenue. The new company had six distinct infrastructures. In this session, Mr. Iraci will describe the process of the internal IT team working with external consultants to centralize and consolidate 20 email sites down to just three; overcoming political challenges encountered with the various new business units; and optimizing the WAN and applications. Mr. Iraci will also share war stories including the importance of fully vetting testing tools in the lab setting before deployment, and what can happen if you don't.

GeoEngineers, Inc. offers an integrated suite of services for companies looking to build communities, to harness and manage the earth's resources, and to move products and people. Since its founding in 1980, GeoEngineers has successfully completed more than 25,000 projects worldwide for clients in the energy, transportation, water and natural resources, development, and federal markets. Mr. Weinberger will share his experience with WAN optimization to improve the performance of its private IT infrastructure and the decision to deploy Whitewater, a cloud storage gateway, which connects to the Amazon S3 cloud storage environment to take advantage of the economics of the cloud while using its existing backup tool. Additionally, Mr. Weinberger will discuss his experience from participating in Riverbed's beta program for the Steelhead EX WAN optimization solution with Granite that allowed GeoEngineers to achieve complete consolidation and centralized management.
