Congratulations to Riverbed’s Two 2019 Channel Chiefs

Riverbed is proud to announce that CRN, a brand of the Channel Company, named Riverbed leaders Bridget Bisnette and Cindy Herndon to its list of 2019 Channel Chiefs.

Each of the 2019 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and commitment to their channel partner programs. Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff as a result of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community, and strategies for driving future growth and innovation.

With over 31 years of global IT experience and a history of championing innovative new channel sales strategies, Bridget Bisnette, SVP of Global Partner Strategy & Commercial Sales, provides expert insight into the shifting market for Riverbed. Realizing that businesses are transforming their consumption models, and that channel partners are responding to that change, during the past year, Bridget was instrumental in redefining Riverbed’s partner strategy and channel program.  Additionally, she worked hand-in-hand with partners to define, design and start up XaaS offerings based on Riverbed’s DEM and SD-WAN offerings.

Bridget says the key to success for Riverbed’s partners in 2019 is their ability to transition their business from transactional to value-added – that partners must provide innovative services to elevate their customers’ experience and deliver business outcomes.  She is currently putting programs in place to further the development of Riverbed partners so they can achieve this.

As Vice President of Global Partner Programs and Operations at Riverbed, Cindy Herndon leverages her 30 years of VAR, distributor and vendor experience to run channel strategy, programs and operations under one united team. With her passion for channel innovation, Cindy co-led the effort to revolutionize the Riverbed partner program, Riverbed Rise.

Throughout 2018, Cindy launched an improved, simplified partner portal providing ample opportunities for self-service, and creating flexible incentives that partners can use to improve the bottom line, drive business development or train their personnel.

Cindy’s advice for partners going into 2019: Digital transformation is in full swing and continues to increase the pressure being put on IT.  The average enterprise has 579 cloud-based applications, and typical workforce end-users rely on more than three different devices daily.  IT requires visibility into end-user experience to ensure cloud, mobile and virtualization initiatives deliver expected gains in workforce productivity.  Partners looking for new ways to help their customers in digital transformation initiatives and build new revenue streams for their business, would benefit from taking a serious look at Digital Experience Management and Riverbed’s new Certified Performance Engineer track.
