Overview

The Hertz Corporation operates the Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly car rental brands with locations throughout approximately 150 countries. Hertz is the largest worldwide airport general use car rental company.

Hertz uses a proprietary application to generate rental car transactions. The application was initially written in Cobol
and ran on a mainframe. Several years ago, the company undertook the process of upgrading it to a Java-based Web application running on IBM WebSphere Linux servers.

Solution

I’d say that’s the main benefit of AppInternals—its ability to alert us when a problem is just beginning.
