Summary
Civil engineering firm Psomas has been a long-time Steelhead customer, which helps them with wide area serving. As the company has continued to grow, their tape-based backup process was becoming increasingly difficult, time consuming, and expensive to manage. They decided they needed a change and turned to Riverbed once again.
The decision was made to deploy the Riverbed Whitewater cloud storage gateway and Cloud Steelhead enterprise-wide. This has allowed their remote employees to quickly and securely access data, and with the elimination of tapes, their backup process is more efficient, and up to 60 percent more cost effective.
