Riverbed Promotes Eric Tinker and Meg Brennan to Lead Riverbed Channel Organization
Expanded role for Eric Tinker to include leadership of Riverbed Global Channels, Global Renewals and Commercial Sales Programs; Meg Brennan promoted to Vice President, Global Channels
SAN FRANCISCO – April 20, 2021 – Riverbed announced today the promotion of key executives to lead the Riverbed Channel organization. Eric Tinker has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales with an expanded role including Riverbed channels, global renewals and commercial sales programs, and will continue to report to Dan Smoot, Chief Operating Officer at Riverbed. Meg Brennan has been promoted to Vice President Global Channels, and continues to report to Eric Tinker. Eric had been the interim leader for Riverbed Global Channels following Bridget Bisnette’s announced retirement earlier this year.

Eric Tinker was promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales, responsible for worldwide channels and alliances, global renewals and commercial sales programs at Riverbed Technology. He is now responsible for guiding the global strategy for Riverbed’s innovative partner program and its alignment in support of all segments. Eric is tasked with growing demand for Riverbed’s market-leading solutions that maximize visibility and performance of networks and applications with next generation partners, focusing on enablement to help partners develop new capabilities. He also leads Riverbed’s Global Renewals Team supporting large global enterprise and government customers as they continue to invest in Riverbed solutions and responsible for commercial sales, driving sales velocity for territory customers and overseeing the inside sales programs aligned to the regions. Prior to Riverbed, Eric was Senior Director Renewals, Customer Success and Technical Support at Salesforce and Senior Vice President of Global Renewals at PTC.
Meg Brennan continues to lead the global channel programs at Riverbed with her promotion to Vice President, Global Channels. She is responsible for creating the programs and partner experiences that drive joint success for Riverbed and its partners across all sales motions. Her team's responsibilities include partner program management, partner enablement, channel operations, and partner support. With more than 25 years in the tech industry, Meg has worked with vendors, distributors and partners including Riverbed, Dell EMC, Sun Microsystems, JD Edwards, Arrow and Tech Data across multiple functions including sales, product management, enablement, marketing and operations. She has a passion for showing returns on investments in the channel and building partner experiences that make it easy for partners to do business.
